The RACO LOCOS hiking group started the year off in style with a breathtaking sunset hike at
Tallulah Gorge. Braving the chill of a cold and windy January evening, our crew bundled up
and hit the trails to celebrate the start of another adventurous year.

Timing our hike to catch the sunset was a stroke of genius. As we ascended, the skies transformed into a palette of oranges, pinks, and purples, casting a magical glow over the landscape. Surveying from Inspiration Point, we were treated to a panoramic view of the gorge bathed in golden light, with the roar of the waterfalls adding a soundtrack to the scene.

Great Company and Good Times

One of the best parts of the hike was reconnecting with our RACO LOCOS family. Sharing stories and laughter along the way reminded us why we love being part of this group. It’s not just about the trails—it’s about the people we share them with.

As we reached the overlook just in time to watch the sun dip below the horizon, we couldn’t help but feel grateful. Grateful for nature’s beauty, for the camaraderie of our group, and for the promise of more adventures in the year ahead.
